I am an experienced leader with significant experience operating in the people and capability space.I have successfully led the development and implementation of strategic people programs in several fast-paced, complex, and customer-led organisations with an emphasis on fostering high engagement and a high performance (HPHE) culture. As a high performance athlete, I approach work much the same way as I do in my training and performance in my chosen sport of long distance endurance sports. Having completed 33 marathons and 11 Ironman events (to date), I possess a remarkable level of tenacity, resilience and am highly driven to succeed. The strength of mind, discipline, and techniques I apply in my chosen sport have proven to be invaluable to me in my career where I strive to achieve and inspire others to do the same. I have a united approach to leadership and work collaboratively with my peers, business partners and others to create consensus, cross departmental cooperation and effective working relationships. I have a solid background in Learning & Development and am skilled in creating and executing learning strategies and programmes, and evaluating individual and organisational development needs.Having held a variety of leadership roles, I have a broad level of commercial, business, and financial acumen with an ability to drive substantial cost savings and business growth initiatives, identifying innovative strategies to achieve results.With excellent communication skills, I have enjoyed strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers throughout my career and this is supported by a high degree of diplomacy and integrity. I am extremely passionate about my work and actively seek ways in which I can support and enhance a brand reputation in order to inspire consumer confidence, foster loyalty and drive bottom-line growth. It is genuinely important for me to ‘make a difference’ to an organisation and to the lives of others, and deliver value in my work, and in doing so I uphold strong personal values.Outside of work in addition to my running and outdoor activities, I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, and value that time immensely.
