● Spearheaded effort and received CapEx funding for multi-phase project toreplace (sunset) IBM Netcool with Splunk. Completed Phase 1 of the project which reduced OpEx spending by $350,000 annually, positioned the company with a next-gen Observability tool,and enabled the business to auto ticket all required operational elementspreviously precluded by cost.● Planned and built solutions and supported operations for four (4) SolarWinds NPM/NTAinstances, IBM Netcool, and an automation team.● Collaborated with stakeholders, project managers, architects, business analysts,operations teams, and developers to plan, define, design, test, document, anddeliver infrastructure engineering solutions.● Helped define and plan roadmaps for monitoring and automation tools.● Regular vendor management responsibilities including license/maintenancerenewals and new product/service discussions and quotes. ● Integrated SolarWinds with Cradlepoint NetCloud Manager via REST API asNetcool/Impact policies enabling the NOC/end-users to seamlessly view thestatus and details of secondary WAN sources for all 800+ retail stores in a singlepane of glass including LTE modem status, signal strength (RSSI), signal quality(SINR), and data usage.● Developed SolarWinds custom “stores dashboard” enabling NOC/end-users inreal-time and historically to track offline/slow/flapping stores, current WANsource -- primary or secondary -- and carrier information for each store includingname, site type, and up/down bandwidth for 40+ carriers.● Replaced out-of-the-box Netcool Remedy Ticketing Gateway with customJavaScript solution written for Netcool/Impact including automatic INCresolution, data-driven handling of ARS errors, and HipChat room notifications fortickets created, heartbeats, KPIs, and all API errors received from Remedy.
