Directed IT business operations for a 200-person division. Analyzed business processes to more effectively align technology with business processes. Managed annual budget and IT spend. Designed application and software customizations to access patient’s information and needs more appropriately. Spearheaded annual software upgrades which involved planning, testing and building new system features, and overseeing upgrades through production. Interfaces included, linking a document management system, which allowed medical staff to access lab and x-ray results remotely, Telehealth, interfacing ADT/HL7 with the EMR system to better manage admittance and discharge information, and designing and integrating a financial clearinghouse to streamline the billing and reimbursement process. Additional interfaces included a Physician Portal and Online Orders. Also created and incorporated a disaster recovery program and procedures. Project lead on the departmental SharePoint implementation. Authored project plan on the dissemination of information, training materials, policies, and protocols Lead Catalyzer in the development of a data warehouse / BI tool used to make both clinical and business/financial decisions.
