Security Consultant for Fairfax Interactive, I reviewed the Fairfax Interactive secure credit card payment gateway, checking the access control to the secure gateway, the application level protocol, SSL set-up, network layout, administrator interfaces, firewalls and network access lists. Senior Developer for Arunta, Sydney, I designed and developed.

Architect and Senior Developer in the dbTicket team, a global trade entry and workflow/routing system with several thousand users.Part of the architecture team for a model-driven redesign of the system, I architected the UI validation and OCL rules integration to the data model and analysed existing transformation technologies for importing and exporting.

Senior Developer at the RTA's Traffic Management Branch, working on the next version of the Sydney Controlled Areas Traffic Systems (SCATS). SCATS monitors and controls all the traffic in the Sydney area and is exported world-wide by the RTA.Designed and Developed the Object Distribution Framework (ODF), which was used to implement the SCATS object model.

Performed high-level architectural review and design of the E-Commerce Infrastructure, covering client management, security (data security, authentication, authorisation), content management, application management, business reporting and software development support. I designed and implemented the Security System for controlling client access to the SSB.

Support and development on Mortbay’s Jetty web server, development of the London Clearing House's Automated Brokerage Service (ABS) system, work on Macquarie Bank's Macquarie Online website, dynamic web development and fax integration with SAP R3

Returned to Nomura and initially I worked on integrating the Repo trading system into the trading infrastructure.Added Java integration to the AME and developed web interfaces for remotely controlling and monitoring all applications connected to the AME as well as further work on the core AME engine.Software was written in C++ and Java.

Co-Founder of Intelligent Switched Systems, developing intelligent telephony products incorporating secure authentication based on smart cards supplying one-time tokens. Originally focused on over-the-phone authentication but later extended to over-the-web via Netscape plug in.Software used early version of the Jetty Web Server, pre-dating the Java servlet.

Project developing a large-scale integrated trading floor system in C++ based on object oriented and distributed computing principles. The system provided a whole range of middle office applications.I developed OS-level scheduling and event handling libraries integrating Corba, X11 and TIBCO Rendezvous.I designed and implemented the Application Management.

Developer for Telstra’s Customised Software Solutions Centre. I was a core part of the development team, unique in Telstra for its' rapid engineering approach and development of computer systems to manipulate the traditional phone-exchange protocols. I worked on an innovative Intelligent Network platform, which delivered the Customnet 13 (13NNNN numbers).
