As the Project Manager – Network Security Program and IT security manager, I was primarily responsible for planning and implementing key recommendations of an external Network and by developing relevant security frameworks, policies, standards and guidelines as well as aligning to the SES Risk Management Framework.Key responsibilities included:- Designing and developing the Information Security Framework, Manual, Playbooks and Security Risk Management Profiles (including Risk Treatment Plans)- Utilising the Victorian Government Project Management Framework through implementing project controls, documentation, risk management and mitigation strategies- Providing specialist advice and validating the scope of remediation work, as well as reviewing project schedules for activities in consultation with internal staff and external providers- Leading and coordinating all activities associated with the remediation program including meeting the Essential 8 requirements as outlined by ASD- Managing and reporting on the implementation status of remediation and in-scope activities while identifying additional opportunities and out-of-scope activities to reduce the cyber security risk rating- Ensuring all activities align to the Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF)- Monitoring and coordinate the project activities and provide project status reports to the Project Sponsor, the Project Control Group and other key stakeholders where required, highlighting and escalating any issues impacting on the project plan milestones, budget and benefits- Developing and implement communications plans to deliver regular updates on the project progress to all relevant stakeholders, while managing project closure and transitioning to business as usual
