Founder and Senior Executive of A Twist In The Tale, a Community Interest Company looking to provide opportunities to young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilites) and SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs), or who otherwise will struggle to access work in the East Riding. The premise of the project is to set up a business that is run by and for young people with additional needs who receive funding either through access to work or their EHCP. The young people and their support workers are the ones running the business with oversight from the directors. They are the driving force behind every step including choosing stock, social media, running the shop/unit, window displays etc. The model runs on young people being supported on a worker/intern ratio basis consistently dependent on their individual needs.
