Henkel, headquartered in Düsseldorf / Germany, has some 47,000 employees worldwide and has three globally operating business sectors: Laundry & Home Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive Technologies.I am responsible and manage the Corporate Communications department of Henkel in the Benelux. This includes 3 countries and 3 media landscapes: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Furthermore, I manage 5 sites with around 700 employees. My main responsibility is to build and protect the corporate brand and reputation of Henkel in the Benelux. I provide strategic advice and professional communication on a defined basis to leaders in our company and the businesses. I correspond with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments. In addition, I manage the Corporate Communications trainee(s).My responsibilities in the area of internal communications are to create strategies to increase the employee’s awareness and to promote productivity. I manage content, choose and use the various (online) communication channels available on the basis of integrated communication plans. I distribute executive messages, prepare presentations, prepare and implement internal communication plans in order to share information in a targeted and efficient way. I develop print materials and branding strategies for employee use e.g. Corporate Publications, Henkel Life Benelux magazine, etc. Externally, I represent our company to stakeholders and the public in the Benelux. I establish and cultivate relations with media contacts. I develop and distribute materials as regard to corporate topics. I issue press releases and arrange interviews.

SETAC Europe is one of the 4 geographic units of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). SETAC Europe is a not-for-profit, professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in the study, analysis, and solution of environmental problems; the management and regulation of natural resources; environmental education; research and development.Responsibilities:I am responsible for the communication of all the relevant and up to date information to (potential) members (via SETAC web page, e-mail messages, journal (SETAC Globe), annual report, congress proceedings, brochures, and flyers) and membership support (helpdesk). I am the webmaster for the SETAC Europe pages on the corporate website (setac.org) and for specific SETAC Europe websites (including meeting websites). In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, I participate in the organisation of various projects including SETAC Europe meetings, workshops and committee activities.Tasks/Deliveries:• Production of SETAC Europe printed materials (liaison to printer), including: o Meeting announcements o Programme books & (extended) abstract books o Sponsor booklet o Annual report• Production of other promotional material (bags, pens, pins etc.)• Conduct meeting surveys• Manage media issues: o Respond to media requests for information and interviews o Arrange and organise press conferences o Create and update press database o Write press releases o Gather press clippings and issue press books • Deliver updates for SETAC webpages (corporate website (setac.org) and specific SETAC Europe websites (including meeting websites))• Distribute periodical e-mail message to members with relevant information on SETAC (Europe) activities• Respond to questions from members about SETAC issues (helpdesk)• Deliver SETAC Europe flyers with membership info• Co-editing of Europe section of SETAC Globe
