Leading a research project on the influence of anxiety and depressive symptoms on decision-making under risk and pre-decisional information search. For this project I apply computational models of decision-making under risk.• Secured a grant from the Research Foundation Flanders for a long-term academic visit.

• Secured a postdoctoral research fellowship from the Research Foundation - Flanders to investigate the relationship between anxiety and depressive symptoms, and cognitive flexibility and decision making. Member of the Psychopathology and Affective Neuroscience lab. In my research I use (longitudinal) quantitative survey data, experimental paradigms, semi-structured interviews and measurements of heart rate. • I am part of the wellbeing committee in my University department that implements changes to improve employees’ wellbeing in my department. We used data from a department-wide survey to detect issues that affect employees’ wellbeing and formulated an action plan that introduced new policies in the department.• Supervision of several MSc students doing their research project and teaching practical sessions for undergraduate course.

• Postdoctoral researcher in the Oxford Centre for Emotions and Affective Neuroscience, leading research projects on risk and protective factors for anxiety and unhealthy eating behaviour. Research designs ranging from online training intervention trials combined with quantitative survey data, to using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging.• Part of a team of postdoctoral representatives in the department of Experimental Psychology (2016-2018). Point of contact for early career researchers in the department, and organizing career development and social activities. • Supervision of (Master and Clinical DPhil) students. Module leader Core Practical on ‘Personality, Individual differences, and Psychological Disorders’ (undergraduate course module) in 2018.

Leading research projects using experimental paradigms and quantitative survey data to investigate the effects of training cognitive control on anxiety and worry.• Secured a grant from the Research Foundation Flanders for a long-term academic visit.

• My doctoral research was on risk and protective factors for depression and resilience to stress, under supervision of Prof. dr. Rudi De Raedt in the Psychopathology and Affective Neuroscience lab. In my research I used both behavioural experiments, quantitative survey data, structured clinical interviews, and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. • Part of a committee organizing an international symposium “Affect and cognition: From fundamental research to the clinical field.” September 2014.• Part of a task force that developed new guidelines for supervising and evaluating Master dissertations in the department. • Teaching seminars on writing a Master thesis in the department of Experimental Clinical and Health Psychology. Co-supervision of MSc student research projects.• Organisation of Doctoral School specialist course “Programming psychological experiments in E-prime” in 2013 and 2014.

Support for children with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.

Providing daily supervision to individuals with a psychiatric disorder (double diagnosis).

• Research internship in the Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research Laboratory, working under the supervision of prof. Catherine Harmer and dr. Michael Browning. We did a research project to explore combination effects of pharmacological (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) and cognitive interventions for depression and anxiety on emotion processing.• Secured several grants for the internship (e.g. Leids Universiteits Fonds, Hersenstichting, Erasmus scholarship).

As a research assistent I was involved in several research projects for which I was responsible for participant recruitment, data collection, and performing some data analysis.
