I joined the Jennings Strouss and Salmon firm to lead the rebuilding of an aging technology infrastructure. While I only had a short 6 month tenure at Jennings Strouss before deciding to start my own Legal Technology Management company, I very much enjoyed my time and the Jennings team. I was able to accomplish significant system improvements in the short 6 months I was there: • Migrated 2 branch offices from a problematic remote desktop infrastructure to full thick client workstations including installation and deployment of HyperV virtualized Automomy File Site Cache server and virtual print services.• Stood up a new small remote office with ASA Site to Site VPN over Internet including Cisco VoIP and HQ network access.• Upgraded Windows 2008 R2 HyperV multi node cluster to Windows 2012 multi node HyperV cluster • Migrated all CSV’s from Equallogic 6000’s to Equallogic 6100’s• Designed and implemented a full off site Disaster Recovery infrastructure using HyperV Replication and DPM backup management• Designed and implemented a full off-site disk and tape backup system using Microsoft DPM• Performed a full internal software compliance audit• Began categorizing IT expenses and developing a 1, 3 and 5 year IT budget and vision• Tuned failing Exchange 2007 server for more reliability and up time • Full rip and replace an Anti Virus end points• Implemented PRTG proactive network monitoring• Negotiated and approved new WAN MetroEthernet upgrades• Left a road map of upgrades for the next 18 months including details of Exchange clustering upgrades, network equipment replacement, File Share clustering, Citrix remote access.
