I joined the Jennings Strouss and Salmon firm to lead the rebuilding of an aging technology infrastructure. While I only had a short 6 month tenure at Jennings Strouss before deciding to start my own Legal Technology Management company, I very much enjoyed my time and the Jennings team. I was able to accomplish significant system improvements in the short 6 months I was there: • Migrated 2 branch offices from a problematic remote desktop infrastructure to full thick client workstations including installation and deployment of HyperV virtualized Automomy File Site Cache server and virtual print services.• Stood up a new small remote office with ASA Site to Site VPN over Internet including Cisco VoIP and HQ network access.• Upgraded Windows 2008 R2 HyperV multi node cluster to Windows 2012 multi node HyperV cluster • Migrated all CSV’s from Equallogic 6000’s to Equallogic 6100’s• Designed and implemented a full off site Disaster Recovery infrastructure using HyperV Replication and DPM backup management• Designed and implemented a full off-site disk and tape backup system using Microsoft DPM• Performed a full internal software compliance audit• Began categorizing IT expenses and developing a 1, 3 and 5 year IT budget and vision• Tuned failing Exchange 2007 server for more reliability and up time • Full rip and replace an Anti Virus end points• Implemented PRTG proactive network monitoring• Negotiated and approved new WAN MetroEthernet upgrades• Left a road map of upgrades for the next 18 months including details of Exchange clustering upgrades, network equipment replacement, File Share clustering, Citrix remote access.

Challenged with modernizing an aging technology infrastructure, bringing all enterprise systems to current releases, a firm wide desktop and laptop refresh, planning and implementing a complete disaster recovery infrastructure, improve customer service in help desk, develop vision for firm technology to improve attorney and staff satisfaction, reliability, and increase competitive edge. I optimized the IT budget every year through tough vendor negotiation, hardware consolidation, consolidation of product suites to reduce maintenance agreement costs, reduction of previous overspending all while increasing reliability, up time and technology use satisfaction.I have an open communication style with firm leaders in Technology Committee, Executive Committee, and Executive Director. I provide leadership and guidance for senior network administrators and mentor junior IT staff. I have direct management of 5 IT staff members in word processing, training, help desk, and senior network administrators.Successfully designed, planed, implemented and developed quality support of• Major Elite revision upgrade including Billing Manager, GL, Time Entry, Case Manager, Practice Manager, Conflicts Manager, Client Matter intake• Server virtualization from 0% to 80% to reduce energy usage, reduce maintenance costs and hardware refreshes, reduce IT maintenance, improve disaster recovery, and improve up time• Completed a firm wide refresh of workstations and laptops • Exchange 2007 to 2010 migration adding clustering, journaling, server archiving, and disaster recovery• New implementation of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop• Worldox upgrades GX, GX2, GX3• Complete offsite disaster recovery design and implementation with real time data and virtual server mirroring with critical systems RPO at 0-15 minutes and RTO at 15 minutes

International project management and software development for onsite embedded National Instruments and Allen Bradley automated control systems. Provide technical analysis, recommendations and development for existing and new automation control systems for sea water Chlorine treatment system and water polishing for overseas 500 Megawatt coal fire power generation plant.

Recruited initially to lead a migration team of software and hardware engineers for a video control based distribution product. Oversaw complete product development to market from 1996-1998. Advanced quickly to Vice President in 1998 and lead product development and IT infrastructure growth. As Vice President, worked side-by-side with company owner to develop company strategy and direction. Directly lead 20-30 staff members in support, installation and engineering departments. Oversaw business development, product development, engineering, sales, marketing and human resources. Designed and developed software applications for video content management and control for the K-12 school market. Ported custom Unix software to a Windows NT Server (3.51-2000) as the server platform of choice. Responsible for all systems development and support of company applications. Developed both turnkey Client-Server and Three Tier web applications.All software development styles focused on both OOD and traditional code design.Turnkey Client-Server applications developed in Microsoft Visual C/C++ (2.0-6.0), Symantec C/C++ and Borland Delphi (2.0-5.0) utilizing, TCP/IP, TAPI, ADO, ODBC, RS-232, RS-485 and multi-threading as a means of software and hardware communication.Web Based products solutions focused on using a Windows NT Server platform running IIS.
