As the Chief Accounting Officer, I am responsible for both the monthly internal financial reporting and the quarterly and annual 10Qs and 10K reports filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission for this $67 billion organization. The United States Postal Service is an independent establishment of the executive branch. The United States Postal Service does not receive any government appropriations to fund its operations. We are required to self fund through the sales of products and services. The Controller organization has nearly 1,000 employees. Direct reports include - Manager of Corporate Accounting, Manager of Accounting Service Centers, Manager of SOX Compliance, Manager International Accounting, Manager of Finance Business Solutions, Manager of External Reporting, Manager of Revenue Assurance, Manager of Corporate Audit and Response (coordinator of all OIG and GAO audits), and Manager of Technical Accounting.

This was a great opportunity to detail into another Officer role at USPS which gave me exposure to more of the operations side of the business. I spent a very short time in this role before needing to return to my permanent role, but it was a very valuable experience.

Chief Financial Officer TSS, Inc (OTC: TSSI). As the CFO of this company which built and serviced data centers, I managed all HR, legal, tax and accounting functions.As the company pushed towards a move of their corporate offices to Austin, TX, I began to look for another opportunity which I found at USPS.

I returned to Hampshire to take on the CFO role just as a large international acquisition was being made. I spent several months traveling to Honduras to complete the acquisition accounting as well as the integration of processes and systems to facilitate SOX compliance.During my time as CFO, I worked with the CEO to restructure and lean the company.The company culture changed significantly after the new board members brought in other senior management and it was no longer a place I wanted to work.

As CFO of this food manufacturer, I was responsible for all of the accounting and reporting for this PE owned entity. The books were in a bit of disarray with this company when I joined and within a short period of time, I was able to direct the completion of reconciliations for all of the accounts and make necessary changes to business processes and use of their MAS500 ERP system to more effectively utilize the automated manufacturing capabilities of the system.I spent only a short period of time with this company before being asked to return to a former company to take on the CFO role there.
