Nothing great is done without process. Something that I stand by in my work and day to day life. My name is Maura Sharp and I am an Interior Design graduate from Arapahoe Community College (ACC). I would love to eventually design remodels that allow clients to love where they live. I know this will take time to get to this goal but I am prepared and driven to work hard for it. I have worked as a professional organizer, volleyball coach, in food service, and in general construction/labor of homes. Organizing homes has helped me understand more of what each family or individual needs in their home and how I can help them with those needs. Being a volleyball coach for middle school and high school girls has helped me to communicate ideas more effectively and efficiently. Working in the food service industry has helped me to understand the severity of tasks and which to accomplish first. I believe all these jobs have helped me in the professional world to continue to work hard and not just look at the outcome. The job that I believe has helped me greatly in working towards my goal of renovating homes is the general construction/labor job. I have had the opportunities to do tasks that are time-consuming and hard work. These include refinishing furniture, demolition of decks, and painting interiors and exteriors of homes. I believe that these skills have helped me be more meticulous and aware of how these tasks should be executed. Giving me knowledge that will help boost me towards my goal of renovations. With my good work ethic, process-driven mindset, and work experience I believe I can reach my career goal.
