About Maura Wilding

I am an award-winning communications professional with over 15 years of experience in the arts sector. For the past two years, I have been included in PR Week's Power Book and included in The Bookseller’s 150. I was also selected for PR Week’s 30 Under 30 and named a Rising Star in The Bookseller. In my 3 years at Orion, I led the restructure of the Publicity team and delivered award-winning campaigns including Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams and My Life in Red and White by Arsène Wenger. In 2021 I stepped up to lead the Communications team and was integral in Orion’s Publisher of the Year win at The British Book Awards.Prior to Orion, in 2015, I launched my agency Maura PR & Communications, with clients such as Jessie Burton, Scarlett Curtis and Ann Cleeves. I have also held roles at Riot Communications, Headline and Bloomsbury."I've worked with hundreds of PRs over 20 years of literary journalism and Maura Brickell is easily one of the best in the business. Few campaigns are as dynamic, proactive and creative as hers are. Her passion and enthusiasm are entirely authentic and contagious. Inspiring, effective and irritatingly resourceful." - Viv Groskop, comedian, writer and journalist
