I am a lead medical assistant at Swansea Pediatrics, a high volume/fast pace office. Our office has 6 providers, and as a medical assistant we control and optimize the patient flow each day. I have various roles within the office. In terms of direct patient care, assess patient needs, obtain vitals/document each visit, run various medical tests such as strep, flu, urine analysis, hCG, and occult stool. Along with direct patient care I authorize insurance referrals, and schedule/call patients.
