I retired from a rewarding career with the Long Beach City Attorney's office as a Paralegal in the Litigation Division. In that capacity, I maintained a full case load handling claims and lawsuits, specializing in Worker's Compensation Subrogation. In addition, I represented the City in small claims court (both as a plaintiff and defendant) on cases involving auto accidents, infrastructure damage, as well as money owed to the City. My duties included negotiating settlements, post-judgment collection, legal research and writing, investigations of liability, and advising City departments with legal inquiries. In the past few years, I went back to school to further my knowledge and expand my skills. My upper division courses at CSULB included a California DRPA Mediation Program which I completed in June, 2022. I graduated in May, 2023 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. I look forward to using my background and mediation skills by serving the community in conflict resolution.
