I am the mother of three girls, the youngest of whom was born with bilateral clubfoot in 2018. After struggling with the initial part of her clubfoot treatment, I wanted to help other parents who might be in a similar position, so I started writing the book that would become Clubfoot Chronicles. My hope is that the book will highlight and raise awareness of the importance of the parent role in the clubfoot treatment journey. After finishing my book, I started the podcast, A Clubfoot Mom, where I talk about our personal experience with our cutie, as well as speak with guests in the larger clubfoot community. I enjoy hearing other parents stories and providing a platform to spread awareness and education about clubfoot. The learning curve for any parent whose becomes a caregiver can be overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating, I am trying to do my part to help other parents gather the support and resources they need to feel successful on their own child’s treatment journey.
