Successfully delivered 3rd/4th/5th grade differentiated curriculum to students with language-based learning differences placed in self-contained special education class. Established positive classroom community by using Responsive Classroom strategies to maintain classroom management and encourage student participation. Creatively implemented lessons that emphasize visual, auditory and kinesthetic teaching styles; alter lessons to include whole class, individual, and small group instruction.Effectively utilized Wilson Reading System,® Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading strategies, and Lindamood Bell LiPs® to present interactive and participatory reading lessons.Employed Hochman Basic Writing Skills Program® and Columbia Writer’s Workshop to enhance students’ written mechanics, organization and linguistic complexity.
