I am a corporate commercial lawyer who has practiced law for thirty three years , eight years at law firms in Toronto where I advised clients on business structures, mergers and acquisitions and financings, and twenty six years with Ontario Hydro and Hydro One where I have focused on corporate governance and ethics. Over my tenure as Vice-President and Secretary to the Hydro One Board of Directors and its Committees, I have advised eight Chairs of the Board of Directors , seventy Directors , six Presidents and their executive teams on corporate governance, conflicts of interest, and general legal and ethics matters. I was responsible for all aspects of Board and Board Committee operations including compliance with best governance practices.
