As executive vice president, human resources & community impact, for ESL Federal Credit Union, Maureen is the key driver of the employee experience strategic priority at the leading financial institution in Rochester, NY. In 2008, she was named Vice President/People Organization Development Director. In 2012, she was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Community Impact, and in 2022 was promoted to Executive Vice President. In this role, she oversees recruitment, total rewards, performance management, learning & development, talent development, employee relations, employee communications and engagement, and the ESL Community Impact organization. Community Impact granted more than $24M to the Greater Rochester Community in 2023.Maureen has successfully redesigned ESL’s total rewards program and transformed its long-standing employee profit-sharing program into a robust employee incentive plan. She’s also reshaped ESL’s performance management process, retooled its learning and development function, enhanced recruitment efforts, and improved employee communications and engagement – all of which has added to ESL’s market competitiveness and increased employee satisfaction and retention. In 2014 Maureen was the first recipient of the HR Executive of the Year award from the National Human Resources Association's Rochester Chapter.
