The East African Community (EAC) in partnership with the Internet Society Uganda Chapter will host the 11th East Africa Internet Governance Forum (EAIGF). This year, it is set for September 11 -12, 2024 at Serena Hotel, Kampala, Uganda under the theme “Building our Multistakeholder Digital Future for East Africa.

I conducted baseline studies and supported research teams in developing an ICT policy for 140 networkmember universities across Africa. The included eLearning and collaborative learning platforms.I also developed the five-year communication Strategy, including the social media strategy for 2018- 2022.

I oversaw an in-depth portfolio review and analysis of the World Bank's Agriculture Projects on ICT and supported the preparation of ICT related work-plans for Uganda (including organising Hackathons and Disruptive Technology Challenges) that fed into the overall Digitization plan for selected Government Ministries in Uganda.

I was responsible for the moderation of the discussion group (dgroup) for Citizen journalists in Uganda, The dgroup came as a result of the Citizen Journalism in Africa Projects which was implemented in the six African Countries of Uganda, Tanzania, SouthAfrica, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. I also trained in the use and application of web 2.0 tool for development to the project beneficiaries.
