Nairobi, Kenya

I oversaw and managed communication. I developed a five-year communication strategy for the RSIF-PASET program, including supporting the design of a management information system for the PhDScholars. I also managed all the digital platforms for the PASET program whose focus was on capacity building in higher education in Africa at icipe. I conducted baseline studies and supported research teams in developing an ICT policy for 140 networkmember universities across Africa. The included eLearning and collaborative learning platforms.I also developed the five-year communication Strategy, including the social media strategy for 2018- 2022.

Kampala Uganda

I oversaw an in-depth portfolio review and analysis of the World Bank's Agriculture Projects on ICT and supported the preparation of ICT related work-plans for Uganda (including organising Hackathons and Disruptive Technology Challenges) that fed into the overall Digitization plan for selected Government Ministries in Uganda.

It was implemented in six African countries: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique’.I also trained women within Women organisations on the use and application of ICTs in their work including managing the dgroups, designing and disseminating both print and electronic newsletters.I supported in setting up rural tele-centres, conducted radio talk shows to educate women on the role of ICT and designed simple websites for WOUGNET members. I was responsible for the moderation of the discussion group (dgroup) for Citizen journalists in Uganda, The dgroup came as a result of the Citizen Journalism in Africa Projects which was implemented in the six African Countries of Uganda, Tanzania, SouthAfrica, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. I also trained in the use and application of web 2.0 tool for development to the project beneficiaries.
