EcoClaim is an award-winning training, certification and Insurtech company focused on driving GhG reductions and avoided emissions in the insurance sector and its supply chain. EcoClaim is developing products to support companies to efficiently and profitably move on a path to net zero. As the company’s subject matter expert on climate and sustainability, I advise and engage on climate strategy, including product and service development. Providing advice on how to leverage emerging ESG and climate regulatory requirements, industry and sector GhG reporting and performance requirements and trends, and Scope 3, Scope 4, offsets and inset market activity. Outcomes and collaborations to date: -Design of v2 and v3 software for insurance supply chain GHG emissions and avoided emissions tracking, aggregation and reporting.-Design & deliver introduction to ESG and climate issues course to insurance sector leaders and employees and suppliers. Trained and certified 200 trained and certified to date.-Collaborating on development of ReBuild Better LCA-based and climate informed software for selecting and tracking actual and avoided emissions associated with materials in insurance claims.-Co-designed e-learning course on waste and GhG reductions for restoration sector leaders and employees (for certification).

The Sustainable Arts & Green Ecosystems (SAGE) Project engages organizations and businesses associated with the arts sector (museums, galleries, theatres and their service provides) in exploring and developing circular economy solutions to reduce waste and associated greenhouse gas emissions. The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) leads the project, and the Project Manager has shared responsibility for three key project outcomes: -Engage and education local representatives and learn from them about the challenges and opportunities for integrating circularity into development of exhibitions and other staged environments.-Research, develop and launch the SAGE Toolkit –an online guide and resource for circular practices in this arts sector (launches December 2024).-Develop and launch an Exchange Hub for materials recirculation (launches December 2024).

Collaborating on growth and development of businesses and social enterprises, especially those that seek to advance their climate performance, integrate ESG into their business model and operations, and generate shared value. Sample contracts and projects 2023-2024:-Designed introductory climate action training and facilitated climate action planning for an arts sector organization.-Designed and facilitated training program: How to leverage behaviour influence to advance sustainability and circularity. Leveraging the SHIFT Framework (developed by Dr. Kate White et. al) and Lighter Living Motivations (by One Earth). Trained two cohorts in collaboration with SRRI (Share Repair Reuse Initiative).-Consultant/Advisor to tourism sector businesses/organizations introducing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their business strategy and plans.-See larger EcoClaim and SAGE Project contracts.Sample contracts and projects 2021-2022:-Wrote a business guide for Getting to Net Zero carbon emissions for financial institution's clients (Vancity published).-Supported climate action planning for a municipal government (City of Vancouver).-Provided review and assessment of net zero corporate strategies for a large financial institution (BDC contract). -Delivered workshops on Net Zero carbon emissions for industry associations and business members. -Designed and delivered training materials and workshops on how to apply Theory of Change develop impact metrics (C40 Cities -Women4Climate).-Coaching and guidance for social enterprise development for not-for-profits and mission based for-profit ventures; project manage community investment funding program (Victoria Foundation).-See larger Coast Capital, BMO Radicle Climate Smart and City University contracts.

-Senior training facilitator —training teams from businesses across Canada to measure and management corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and move toward net zero. -Designed & co-developed e-learning training program to pivot the training model to online asynchronous learning.

-Collaborated on integration of social purpose strategy into product and service developed.-Co-led development of a new social purpose investment framework and strategy. -Identified and recommended or facilitated partnerships with strategically aligned social purpose organizations.

Designed curriculum and taught School of Management undergraduate cohorts: Business course titled:: Strategic CSR.

-Collaborated with HSBC head office (UK) and international colleagues on development of HSBC’s new Global Climate Programme (launched Fall 2020). -Developed new partnership for advancing cleantech business entrepreneurs. -Led initial design of climate leadership training for North American senior leaders. -Reported on HSBC Canada greenhouse gas emissions quarterly for executive review.-Managed green teams and facilitated employee sustainability and climate learning opportunities.-Managed proactive community investment portfolio of $1.35 million, building partnerships and engaging employees across Canada with NGO and university partners.

Managed Energy & Environment portfolio and Local Economy program for Canada’s largest credit union. -Built and facilitated partnerships and collaborated on capacity-building for advancement of impact businesses and social entrepreneurs. -An intrepreneur —engaged in new ESG product, programs and service development.-Collaborated on $10+ million in community investment annually and helped build impact lending portfolio to more than $1 billion while generating social and environmental outcomes and benefits for members, businesses and community.

Co-created and co-produced Feeding Growth --for the growth and success of progressive food entrepreneurs.
