I did my PhD researche in the Soft Matter Group at the Institute of Physics (University of Amsterdam). I studied the rheology of complex fluids, focusing on jammed systems and their flow behavior near the critical point. I prepared my own samples and measured the flow properties, thereby I was interested in jammed and glassy materials and the transition between liquid-like and solid-like behavior by imposing a stress (above the yield stress) or by varying the concentration of the dispersed phase.Besides research I was teaching assistant for several master courses and I as a member of the PhD and PostDoc council of the Institute of Physics I organized seminars, symposia and social events.
