About Maureene Riethmiller

Maureene has dipped her toes in a number of professional pools but continues to migrate to those where she uses her Spanish/Bilingual skills to facilitate an improved life for marginalized populations. Ms. Meinert studied Spanish and Sociology at the College of New Jersery (TCNJ)with a concentration in Latin American Studies. She studied in Costa Rica and conducted field research through an Internship in Nicaragua.For four years after college, she worked in Philadelphia PA at a large Hispanic non profit as an operation coorfinator for the division of public health and as a immigration paralegal with accreditation to practice immigration law at Catholic Social Services. Ms. Meinert received her teaching certification at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2010, worked at the Erie Migrant Education Office, then moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here she has worked as a pre-school/ kindergarten Spanish teacher, tutor, and the development co-coordinator for the Center for Nonviolence.
