As an intake administrator at COSTI, I provide essential support to diverse communities including immigrants and refugees who access the agency's services and programs. I have a bachelor of science degree in nursing science and I am trained Suicide Intervention (ASIST) by the Canadian Mental Health Association and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. I am pursuing a postgraduate diploma in Social Service Worker Immigrants and Refugees at Seneca College, where I am learning about social determinate of health, intersectionality, trauma-informed care, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), Anti Oppressive Practices, mental health and case management. I have over a year of experience as a personal support worker at Bayshore HealthCare, where I assisted diverse clients with their daily living needs and emotional health care goals. I also have four months of experience as a community development coordinator at Play Forever, where I helped organized and facilitated recreational and educational activities for seniors and youth from diverse backgrounds. My skills in Crisis management and Cross - Cultural Intelligence has enabled me to deliver empathetic and respectful care and support to clients in the communities I serve improving their well-being.
