I have quite a varied and diverse professional background. It has allowed me to meet many interesting and gifted people.I spent 7 years managing a medium sized law firm that specialized in family law (yes I am quite adept at having the kleenex ready) and civil litigation. When the law firm disbanded I chose to pursue another path and was the project manager for a sustainablity study being funded by Forest Renewal BC. This was an intense and thoroughly enjoyable experience. I will never look at our forest's quite the same way.For a change of pace I accepted a position with the Interior Health Authority, and worked in the area of Community Care for 7 years. This was a huge change career wise, but one I do not regret, it was a learning experience that will guide me in the future. In fact I have already turned down several proposals, simply because I have learned the necessity to be able to look at ones self in the mirror.Please do not misunderstand me - money - yes I still like to make it (my children seem to feel it is essential), but I have learned to care about the people I am in contact with, I have learned compassion for the elderly and disabled, I have learned to respect our forests and husband them wisely.Again, while financial success is very important to me, the bottom line is that it is hollow to me if I lose my integrity along the way.Specialties: - I have a background with labour/union negotiations - I have liased with the provincial government and private corporations - I have the ability to implement individualized staff/client allocation software - I have a thorough understanding of most aspects of Canadian Law
