My primary responsibility is to lead the development, implementation, administration, and activities of Reach for the Stars designed to generate the skills and motivation necessary for success in education beyond high school among a diverse group of young people from low-income and/or first-generation backgrounds with demonstrated academic need. The three key areas of the program are Group Talk Sessions, College Prep, and Saturday Learning Academy. I’ve coordinated several college tours visiting colleges locally and regionally. I’m also responsible for data retention and submission of annual reports, supervising staff, as well as student and NY Cares volunteers. In addition to supervising my goal is to maintain and strengthen professional relationships with administration, teachers, students, and parents within Reach for the Stars program.
