Under her leadership, Actuated has been awarded over $45M in federal grants/contracts many from the NIH SBIR program. Actuated Medical holds 42 US and International patents, 8 FDA 510(k) clearances, and has been honored with 2 Small Business Administration Tibbets Awards for SBIR commercialization excellence. Maureen is a distinguished MedTech leader, serving on the AdvaMed Board of Directors (BOD), AdvaMed Accel BOD, and Life Sciences PA BOD giving voice to small and emerging MedTech companies. Additionally, she is Chair of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Penn State Center for Biodevices and a member of the Kish Bank regional advisory board. Maureen has received over 35 national and international entrepreneurial awards, including attending as a U.S. delegate to the 2017 the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India. She is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program. Maureen received her Ph.D. from Penn State University.

Our Innovative Motion® devices move in such a way to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and increase profitability. Our devices address unmet clinical needs in pediatrics, critical care, regional anesthesia, GI and angled bone access. Medical device market leaders (MDLs) must grow the market share to remain competitive; therefore, they need to continually bring innovative devices to the market while at the same time minimize R&D expenses.
