Leading the industry in building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive quantum computing workforce through training and career development opportunities for undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, and early professionals. I work to inspire students and early professionals to pursue and succeed at IBM Quantum internships, fellowships, postdoctorate research, and other career opportunities. I'm responsible for maintaining a unified and cohesive quantum computing workforce advocacy program across IBM Systems and IBM Research.

IBM CODAIT (Center for Open-Source Data and AI Technologies) is a portfolio of managed services for open source data and machine learning technologies. I have delivered presentations to developers at tech conferences around the country and recruited/moderated/participated in a panel discussion on Offline First at SXSW that was so popular the conference gave us an encore. I have helped developers better understand what they can build with our technologies through sample applications, documentation, open source contribution, and blog posts. I run weekly office hours to help other Developer Advocates and coworkers in their efforts to speak at events.

The Vermont Technology Alliance is a non-profit business association with a mission to support, promote, and grow technology businesses and technology jobs in Vermont. The vtTA is the only statewide organization focused solely on Vermont’s tech business sector.

This group is for people interested in Machine Learning and Data Science. It is intended to provide engaging, hands-on experiences in these branches of information technology for beginners and experts alike. By holding one another accountable for our own educational goals, we can create a synergistic network of students, practitioners, and enthusiasts. Our mission is to support and promote women and gender minorities who are practicing, studying or are interested in the fields of machine learning and data science. The international WiMLDS organization is intended to supplement successful local meetups to connect women and gender minorities with others in the field locally and nationally. Founded the Burlington, VT chapter of Girl Develop It, a national 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to teach women (18+) how to code. Coordinate technical workshops, Code and Coffees, and social events with the goal of increasing tech literacy among women. Built alliances with key members of Burlington’s tech, business, and government community. Maintains leadership team of local volunteers to assist with chapter operations. Hired a co-leader in 2015. Served as working group leader to write and deploy the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct: http://girldevelopit.com/codeofconduct. Contracted with the national organization to assist with interviewing and hiring new staff for the national headquarters. Locally, the Burlington chapter has grown to over 1100 members and has taught over 600 students.After the birth of my daughter in November 2017 I stepped down as leader of this chapter and moved into an advisory position, still meeting with the local chapter leaders regularly to help and advise, and still advising the National HQ office on hiring and assisting with onboarding of employees. In September 2018 I joined the public call for resignations that followed multiple incidents of racism and bullying in the central office and multiple chapters across the US. Conducted sprint testing using exploratory, functional, and regression methods. Developed test estimates as part of Agile sprint planning based on user stories and makes recommendations on appropriate testing techniques and tasks. Identified test cases for automation and built/edited new ones using Java, Groovy, Cucumber. Wrote Gherkin/BDD statements for story planning and test driven development. Monitored and debugged companywide automation test suite on daily basis. Software quality assurance engineers are sometimes confused with software testers. Software testers test parts of the software at different stages of development, whereas a software quality assurance engineer oversees the entire development process, which includes software testing, from start to finish.
