As part of the membership team, I helped to increase the numbers of girls and adults who were involved and active throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. It could be very difficult because there are so many competing priorities for families nowadays, what with sports, dance, cheerleading...the list goes on. However, my team was able to exceed the national recruitment goal from FY 2010- FY 2011, which was a huge success! We had a strong message, determination, flexibility, and a lot of passion, and all of those things played a major part in the increase in membership.

My department received requisitions from departments within MIT for everything from business consultants to yoga instructors, and processed those requests. I helped put those contracts together. I also gathered and assessed documentation, provided administrative support, and explained complex Procurement procedures to staff members outside the department.
