My pre-service teaching opened up opportunities which helped mold me into becoming a better teacher. I was able to teach the basics of grammar and poetry to Grade 10 students. I was able to teach not only through face-to-face interaction but also through written works. Apart from the oral discussion that we had, I also encouraged my students to show what they have learned through written works. Written works, such as essay and reflection writing, helped me identify the grammar inconcistencies my students often commit that is hard to point out in every oral discussion. In this way, my students can have a clearer understanding of things they must improve for the betterment of communication. Aside from the things I mentioned above, I also learned or developed qualities that will qualify me to the real world of professionalism. Pre-service teaching improves my time-management skill.
