About Maureen Upton

My career includes 12 years of public board experience in mining and investment management as well as both nonprofit and public-sector boards with an ESG (environmental social governance) focus. As a fund director I've overseen both mutual funds and ETFs. I hold both general and cybersecurity board governance credentials, and continually pursue director education through leading organizations for both corporate and fund directors. In 2006 I founded and maintain an ESG consulting practice serving multinational corporations, advising executives on projects spanning 6 continents, in 3 languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese). In 2023 I launched Inside ESG, a podcast and training platform for sustainability professionals worldwide.
