In the time I was there I was responsible for all the day to day running of the Finance department, including 3 members of staff. I was also the Company Secretary. I dealt with external contacts including Inland Revenue, Auditors and the Bank. I also looked after the payroll, Healthcare Scheme, Pension Scheme and Fleet… Show more I was the Finance Manager for ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Ltd for just over 15 years before being made redundant due to restructuring of the finance function of the group. In the time I was there I was responsible for all the day to day running of the Finance department, including 3 members of staff. I was also the Company Secretary. I dealt with external contacts including Inland Revenue, Auditors and the Bank. I also looked after the payroll, Healthcare Scheme, Pension Scheme and Fleet Vehicles. Within my role we only had just over 2.5 days to complete month end, plus we also had to analyse the differences from one month to the next. I also was involved in Forecasting, Budgeting and completing Bridging statements. Within my time at AAH I was involved with a project for the merging of two Companies into one, making sure this was a smooth change and making sure all the relevant departments in the Inland Revenue were informed. I was chosen as a super user when the Company changed the accounting system from Sage MNS to Microsoft Dynamics AX, this was a long process to make sure the implementation ran smoothly and help with all the teething problems as they accrued. I also took on an other duties requested by the MD or Group. I work well within a team or on my own. Show less
