I have over 30yrs in public transportation leadership in the industry of public and private sectors of Transportation, in fixed route, paratransit operations management, airport shuttle management, shipping, delivery logistics, and Autonomous.Currently Serving as the Chief Operating Officer responsible for strategic development, planning and daily operation performance of all modes of transportation services - Mobility Services, Rail, Bus, Paratransit, and others.Previously served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Port Authority of Allegheny County (Pittsburgh PA), Providing leadership for Fixed-Route Operations, Rail Operations, and Fleet Maintenance, encompassing approximately 2,150 employees over 730 square miles of the service area with an average annual ridership of over 60 million. Before joining the Port Authority, I was the Vice President of Mobility Solutions for Keolis North America. In this capacity, In this capacity, I lead all aspects of new mobility strategies and the deployment of new operating models consistent with Autonomous Bus and Micro-Transit services. The following are a few highlights. • 2017- APTA Expo & Annual conference: Autonomous Shuttle Demo (Keolis in partnership with vehicle manufacture Navya) • 2017 - Las Vegas Autonomous Shuttle Keolis North America: In partnership with AAA, coordinated the launch of the first U.S. open road A.V. shuttle project. 100% electric and fully autonomous vehicle with an operating speed of approximately 25 kph/ 15 mph with a maximum speed of 27mph. The one-year project resulted in over 32k passengers transported, 2,335 miles, 5,883 kilowatts used, all over 222 days of operation with only one incident. The project also required close involvement and reporting to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to ensure the renewal of the operating certifications that could be approved and issued by NHTSA. • Autonomous Shuttle Business Development - route feasibility case studies 2018 - Providence, Rhode Island 2018 - Jacksonville, Transit Authority 2019 - Transportation Research Board annual meeting demo in Washington, D.C. Congressional Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
