I am the artistic director of Hip Hop Theory: The Company and our concentration is on the foundations of hip hop dance, dance education, dancer health, performance quality and learning to create our own opportunities. We have been in existence for a little over 9 years and operate out of Lehman College. Our dancers learn primarily the key elements of hop hop dance (popping, locking, breaking, boogaloo and social/ party dancing) and groove. We believe that with our a strong foundation no building can stand for long, meaning a dancer can not claim to be a hip hop dancer with out these elements because these are the essence of what hip hop stands for.
