He previously managed the New Business Development / M&A team as General Manager for Distell, a large South African beverage company. Recent accomplishments include setting up a Joint Venture in China, the establishment of green-field manufacturing JV’s in Angola, Ghana, Nigeria and the acquisition of 26% of Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd. Maurice is credited with the capacity to conceive and implement strategic thinking while having a strong execution focus to deliver results. Results are evidenced in direct delivery of transactions in China, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Kenya, supervising acquisitions in UK and Scotland, and earlier the major business profitability turnaround he lead in 2009 for Chevron Egypt Marketing. Maurice’s greatest strengths are the skills and experience that he has acquired in managing people effectively and across a range of cultures and business disciplines. He has successfully managed people from many African countries, UK, Egypt, Pakistan. He has managed people at different organisational levels - from country and area level Sales and Marketing operations; Area Sales Support organisation; Regional Strategy Planning Pricing & Performance. He also has extensive expertise in Project Management; Financial Valuation / Capital Budgeting; Brand Management.
