Versecard is a Digital Business Card powered by NFC. Many entrepreneurs and companies spend a lot of money in the production of traditional or 'paper' business cards each year and statistics shows that 88% percent of these business cards, are thrown out within the first week of exchange. Recent statistics also shows that over 10 Billion business cards are produced annually and if 88% of them end up in the bin that’s 8.8 billion out of 10 Billion cards, that’s a real problem. For us Versecard is more than a Tech StartUp, its an adventure to solve one of Africa biggest challenge of Deforestation. One of the 17 SDG goals is Climate Action and what versecard seeks to do, is not just to transition to Digital Business Card but to reduce the amount of tree been cut down for the production of these paper business cards with solutions that are even more effective and ecofriendly. This is my driving force for building Versecard.
