Advocate on behalf of and in collaboration with architect licensing boards for the reasonable regulation of the professional. Help shape the Council legislative outlook and advocacy strategy. Work to grow external partnerships and coalitions.

Contribute to Council advocacy efforts with state architect licensing boards and collateral organizations. Analyze and monitor statutory and regulatory changes in architecture, the larger design profession, and professional licensing. Synthesize legislative reports and informational materials for state boards, collateral organizations, and other stake holders (e.g. legislators, governors, and the public). Contribute to advocacy activities on specific state legislation.

Further the Council’s programs facilitating architecture licensure and protecting the public’s health, safety, and welfare by supporting state architect regulatory boards. Serve as a liaison and resource to boards while strengthening the Council’s relationships. Work with boards to increase program adoption and access to Council services. Support Council committees’ projects by examining and researching issues in architecture and related design professions in areas such as incidental practice, ethics in the profession, active supervision, and executive oversight.

Managed online application websites, databases, and materials for Professional Development Program initiatives and dissertation and post doctoral fellowship programs. Assisted in the planning and execution of retreats, training institutions, and research workshops.Served as the interim program associate managing the AERA Grants Program. Managed online fellowship application competitions, reviews, grantee progress reports and files, and website content.Served as staff liaison and coordinate staff for Professional Development and Training Courses. Administered telephone and face to face follow up surveys with study participants.
