Providing governance, control and support throughout the life cycle of the global migration project of +30k workplaces from Windows XP to Windows 7.Responsibilities included:- acting as the project advisor and sparring partner to the project chairman for all phases;- defining the project approach and communicating the approach to all project members;- defining and communicating project standards and procedures;- defining the project implementation with respect to project methodologies, project tools and templates in the various phases of the project;- forming the central repository for project data, maintaining an up-to-date project repository;- aligning and agreeing the project planning with the project members;- defining deliverables and acceptance criteria for the various project phases;- advising the project management with respect to risk, issue and action management;- escalating (potential) risks and issues to the project management team;- managing the documentation and communication of decisions.

Manage a team of project managers and IT specialists; leading several strategic IT initiatives including a global sales reporting implementation and customer collaboration initiatives. Responsible for the IT strategy of a newly established Medtronic company.

Manage a team of internal IT account managers, project managers and decentralized IT teams in Western Europe; account management for IT services; solution selection and implementation; supplier management.

Manage an international team (50 FTE) responsible for maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure in Europe; consolidate infrastructure components and support into a regional data- and service center; implement IT Service Management processes (ITIL-based); integration of acquisitions.

Manage a team (25 FTE) responsible for the European ERP system; introduce a succesful model for IT governance; lead ERP implementation- and enhancement projects, including a warehouse move; outsource support responsibilities to an external service provider (off-shore).

Represent logistics operations during a successful ERP implementation; manage a team of 10 project members; responsible for functional requirements, acceptance testing, validation and training, implementation and change management.

Design, implement and automate logistics processes in a Value Added Logistics environment.
