Bank Examiner - Fair Lending Risk Coordinator
CurrentCurrently responsible for identifying fair lending risk across the portfolio of state member banks regulated by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this regard, I analyze state member banks' lending data to identify statistically significant pricing and underwriting disparities across all consumer lending products, analyze lending patterns to detect elevated redlining risk, and coordinate examination activities with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in DC. As a commissioned examiner, I have demonstrated abilities and skills in identifying compliance risk across a variety of products and services, evaluating gaps in risk monitoring and internal controls, and recommending improvements to board and senior management oversight of compliance risks. Outside of my fair lending responsibilities, I assist with compliance examinations to assess a bank's overall compliance risk management program, evaluate compliance with the non-discriminatory provisions of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Federal Housing Act, and evaluate how a bank meets the credit needs of its communities under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Moreover, I have lead the review of multiple Strategic Plans drafted by state members banks to satisfy the requirements under the CRA.
