After my study of civil engineering I thought I was going to build bridges that transport traffic from A to B. My work in the past 25 years is based on building bridges indeed. However, completely other bridges than I expected. Bridging the gap between business and IT has become my profession. IT is a facility no question about that but it can be so much more!! If connected to the right vision, IT can realize efficiency and most of all new possibilities. To achieve added value of IT, it must be represented at the right level in the organization. To manage IT, create added value for IT in the business and make IT understandable for senior management is my favorite role in organizations.Recent : Bridging the gap between IT and business and managing large B2B commerce shop (1,2B) + digital transformation + preparing Sligro for International roll-out of new backend + Integration of Heineken foodservice in Sligro Food Group platform. During covid times Sligro has completely integratied Heineken foodservice in our own (1,2 B euro) foodplatform based on headless SAP hybris, Adobe and Mulesoft. This results in fully integrated services and online shopping for Heineken and Sligro customers.
