Responsible for the Company's Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Risk areas:• Legal support to the Leadership Team in LATAM, US and Europe. • Responsible for all legal aspects of the operation of the company, with emphasis on Business/Commercial Law and Litigation, as well as Employment, Labor, Social Security, Customs (IMMEX Program) and USMCA. • Responsible for overseeing the implementation and operation of the Compliance program in the region, in wide range of areas, including FCPA, SOX, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Conflict of Interest, Competition/Antitrust, Data Privacy/Protection, Trade Compliance, Diversity and Inclusion, and Human Rights, as well as, Risk Assessments, Investigations and Trainings. • Managed the litigation portfolio, reviewing and improving legal strategies, benefiting the company by reducing contingencies and exposure, and also cutting down costs. • Led the creation of a cross-functional Task Force to comply with the Mexican Labor Reform and the USMCA requirements (Rapid Response Mechanism), as well as with the Outsourcing Reform.

Head of the Legal & Compliance Department of all Tyco Group companies in Mexico:• In charge of a robust work team, made up of 13 legal professionals, 23 law firms and 15 compliance experts (serving 70+ companies, 40 offices and 2 factories throughout the country).• Functioned as Head Counsel for Mexico, and for US and European Senior Leadership Team.• Turned around challenging company situations (legal and compliance matters), enabling fluid business operations in the middle of financial scandals (i.e. Enron, WorldCom, Tyco).• Created a Government Affairs and Legal Team unit to successfully comply with a complex and highly regulated Mexican legislation applicable for private security companies (on the Federal, 32 states and 80+ local/municipal levels). • Built a Ethics and Integrity Culture (tone at the top and at all the levels of the organization, responsibility and accountability.
