Mauricio L.D. Mongon is a Health & Safety Intern at Public Services Health & Safety Association in Ontario, Canada. He is a health professional currently studying Occupational Health and Safety at Herzing College after attending the ITMD Bridging Program at Ryerson University.His professional and medical experience expands over 15 years – with exposure to administrative and disabilities procedures and dealing with patients in Emergency and Trauma, and surgical rooms. His academic work focuses on health and musculoskeletal diseases and improving patients' quality of life, especially with severe biological trauma. He contributed directly to the education of medical residents, tutoring postgraduate surgical training. He was also a member of the mortality committee multidisciplinary team of HES-UNICAMP - Brazil, whose function was to analyze preventable causes of death to decrease the death rate, contribute and advise the hospital authorities in medical and administrative decision-making. Mongon received his M.D. in Brazil and a Ph.D. in Sciences of Surgery (major in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery) from UNICAMP University, one of the most prominent Universities in South America.
