    After over 20 years without a break I decided to take a season off from coaching and dedicate time to my family. With pro sports on the verge of not being able to play a regular season due to Covid the timing was perfect.I dedicated my free time to learn a new skill I had wanted to learn for over a decade. Learning to code... after spending almost two months, 10 hours a day, at an "IT Bootcamp", where I learned the basics to code in Ruby, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and CSS I dedicated the following months developing these skills by practicing / coding for 4-5 hours every day. This way I kept my brain working and learning something new, but at the same time came out of my daily routine and filled up my "energy tanks" back up to "full".
