I’m a husband, father, filmmaker, lover of dad jokes, and a fierce believer that structured mentorships can transform lives—because that’s my story. I was a music ed major who got through college on a scholarship as a saxophonist, and I switched over to filmmaking with zero experience. It was a huge career shift after spending the bulk of my life learning a very specific craft.I also know what it’s like to feel stuck and undervalued. After nine years(!) working as a content creator for long hours and low pay, there were quiet, scary moments where I really believed that progress was for other people, but not for me.And in 2011, that all changed.A mentor found me, believed in me, and invested in me, and that act of generosity has been resonating in my life ever since.Over the following decade, I began to build and lead creative teams and started my own filmmaking company, but at the end of the day, my mission is to be the encourager I needed at 29 for others - be it my kids, the filmmakers on my team, or through the work we do for our clients.
