Maurilio Silva always wanted to work in international business,with his natural ability for analytics and foresight, Silva gained his degrees in Trade and Business. After completing school,Maurilio Silva was excited to pursue his dream of being a business man, debuting in the gaming and bingo industry in late 1994. He met Ortiz Group and later Mr. Alejandro de Viveros Ortiz, whom quickly saw his potential and made him part of the organization. Mr. Ortiz, a promising international gaming icon at the time, mentored Maurilio and made him an essential part of his business development team. Working with Mr. Ortiz, Maurilio took on various tasks, learning every day and giving him invaluable gaming experience: from overseeing technical development of games, to assisting operators with opening and operating gaming facilities in various countries. “I am lucky and honored to have earned the confidence of a true gaming icon, Mr. Ortiz. I could have never imagined myself doing what I am doing now. I never thought a job like this existed; if I did, then this is exactly what I would have dreamed of growing up to be,” said Maurilio Silva. “The company expanded into a multinational company, giving me the chance to open and manage offices in several countries, testing my education while I continue learning about this multifaceted industry.”Now, almost two decades after joining the company, Maurilio Silva has taken on the challenge and goal of Ortiz Gaming’s North American headquarters in 2012. Since opening the Boca Raton based office, Mr. Silva has successfully entered the principal US gaming market regions, with strong projections of exponential growth over the upcoming years.
