I am currently in charge of the team “Enterprise Architecture, methodology architecture and development of statistical services”, within the Central Directorate for Methodology (DCME).Key qualifications:Design and development of cloud native IT systems- Several years of experience in the management of complex projects involving a wide range of methodological and technological expertise - Experience in the design and implementation of cloud native services to support statistical production processes- Several years of experience in the design and implementation of statistical services compliant with official statistics standards (GSBPM, GSIM, CSPA)- Member of international working groups on IT standards supporting statistical production processesTeaching and training- Strong teaching and training skills (training courses, conferences, workshops, on-the-job training), both in Italian and in English languages- Trainer in ESTP training courses on Enterprise Architecture for official statistics (EA - Advanced Course) and Common Statistical Production Architecture (CSPA)- Teaching activities and on-the-job training in several capacity building projects (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tunisia, Moldavia, Vietnam)- Trainer in Istat internal courses on Enterprise Architecture principles and official statistics standardsInternational activities- Several years of experience as IT expert in technical cooperation projects in the context of official statistics (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tunisia, Moldavia, Vietnam)- Involvement in ESS research projects both as a researcher and work package leader (Trusted Smart Surveys, Implementing Shared Statistical Services, CORE) - Member of UNECE international projects on Statistical Services and Data Architectures- Speaker in several conferences and workshops on topics related to Population Census monitoring systems and official statistics standards.

Design and development of a reporting platform using OLAP tools (Pentaho);design and development of a client/server application in JAVA using the framework STAF (http://staf.sourceforge.net/)

Design and development of Web applications on distributed systems in Java environments;design and development of a reporting tool on a Business Intelligence platform (Business Objects);co-author of a project proposal aimed at the simulation of a 3D virtual reality on peer-to-peer networks and successfully funded by the European Commission under the FP7 Framework Programme;development of a support system for train navigation (SCMT - sistema di segnalamento di terra) according to CENELEC 50126, 50128, 50129 standards.

The Ph.D. project has been focused on two main aspects:- analysis of the optical properties of Silicon and Germanium nanowires- development of part of a code (SELF), written in FORTRAN and C, that is used in first principle scientific simulations on linux/unix machines and on clusters (CRAY, IBM-SP5)
