Currently responsible for growing Mastercard Data & Services’ business across 10 countries in Southern Africa, helping banks, fintechs, retailers, telcos and government partners to grow and improve their performance through a combination of data and insights, advanced analytics, leading data platforms, consulting advisory support, innovation services, marketing support and managed services deployment . Before joining Mastercard, Mauro helped lead the Financial Services Strategy practice at Genesis Analytics, Africa's largest economics consulting company. There he managed a team of 20 consultants helping many of the continent's most prominent banks, fintechs and financial market infrastructures, as well as prominent governments, regulators and international donor organizations - working in the areas of banking strategy, capital market development, policy and regulation, and financial inclusion.
