In my earlier professional career I worked as a safety officer, generalforeman and safety trainer. During my work in these positions I wasresponsible for many duties, which included managing 7 supervisors and35 employees in hazardous work environments. Some of the plants that Iwas in charge of its safety included those owned and operated by ShellScotford, Petro Canada, BC Hydro and other contracted firms. I endeavorto be abreast of the latest standards in workplace safety and havecompleted a number of relevant courses to this end. This included theNCSO in Occupational Health and Safety. In addition to my formalqualifications, I have extensive experience producing, executing andmaintaining policies and procedures to keep employees safe and healthyin the workplace. My experience in preparing risk assessment reports,Safe Work Method Statements and Site Standard Operating Proceduresdemonstrated my ability to incorporate an organization's internalprocesses and procedures with legislative obligations. I am highly valuedfor my outstanding communication skills, ability to manage relationshipswith colleagues positively and professionally, and my passion forworkplace safety and the well-being of all personnel.
