This was my first internship in college and my introduction to the world of corporate agriculture. As the Sales and Marketing Intern, I assisted with the planning, organizing, and managing of internal and external events. My time was spent helping with the development and distribution of marketing materials, customer communication mailers, and sales support materials for our field representatives. I also was given the creative freedom to compose online social media graphics and related posts for numerous campaigns, utilizing programs such as InDesign and Canva. I resolved marketing-related customer service inquiries almost on a daily basis to our district and regional sales managers over the phone and through email. As an intern, I was also assigned with additional administrative tasks as time went on, including ordering office supplies, keeping a regular count of print and "swag" materials, and managing the distribution of marketing materials during peak seasons.
