As a Graduate Student Scientist at Valley Water, I apply my natural science, data analysis, and GIS skills to solve complex environmental and water resource challenges and generate accurate reports for state government agencies. I have designed and executed field studies, performed environmental field work, and developed efficient Python scripts and Excel macros to streamline data processing workflows. I have also conducted research and proposed innovative engineering and software solutions, prepared detailed GIS maps and technical reports, and collaborated with external contractors to ensure project success.I am pursuing a Master's degree in Geology at San Jose State University, where I also worked as a Teaching Assistant. I have a Bachelor's degree in the same field from UC Santa Barbara, where I designed and executed a research project using remote sensing data and QGIS to automate land cover classification. I have also contributed to a large study by processing sediment and porewater samples, providing valuable data for analysis. I have a passion for data analysis and a track record of quickly mastering new software and techniques.
