I currently serve as President of the St. Elmo Society at Yale. I practiced law for four decades, for 22 years as a partner with the AmLaw 200 firm now known as Bracewell, and then in my own firm, which I founded. I successfully represented domestic and international clients in a wide range of transactions. My areas of concentration included corporate and securities, entertainment and the arts law, general business, business planning, contracts, intellectual property, licensing agreements, trademarks, business enterprises, limited liability companies, partnerships, and small business.A singer, songwriter and performer of country music under the stage name "Lubbock Johnson," I am a past winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriters’ Competition. I have a strong interest in photography, and have photographed music concerts professionally. A former ski patrol, I enjoy skiing and traveling with my wife, whom I met in law school, and our daughter and son-in-law. I am an avid reader on a wide variety of topics, including politics, world affairs, science and religion.
